Sing Me A Lullaby

I am still a child I have not looked death in the eye
I have not truly suffered I have not looked death in the eye
When it comes my time would you sing me a lullaby

Will I lift my voice or will I turn and fall
Will I sing out loud or will I turn and fall
Am I just waiting till I hear that trumpet call

Night is falling there's a shadow on the field of grain
The sun is setting shining red on the field of grain
I see a reaper and he's walking and he's calling my name

I hear the boatman singing children will you get on board
Lay down your troubles children will you get on board
My feet are weary, longing for that other shore
